Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Ases International Journal of Economy is a non-profit, peer-reviewed, international academic indexed journal publishing articles in all disciplines of economics. Its publication processes are based on the impartial production, development, and dissemination of knowledge through double-blind peer-reviewed articles that ensure the implementation of the scientific method and neutrality.

The journal implements a double-blind peer review system. All parties involved – publisher, editors, authors, reviewers, and readers – are required to adhere to publication ethics and policies. If falsified or fabricated data is detected, it will be reported to the author’s institution, and the submission will be rejected. The Editorial Board and/or reviewers reserve the right to request raw data from the authors.

Editorial Board and Editorial Policies

  • Editorial Board members are appointed based on their expertise in various fields of economics.

  • The Board adopts and implements COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

  • It is responsible for the peer review processes of all submitted manuscripts and for ensuring compliance with publication ethics.

  • The Editorial Board aims to improve the scientific quality of the journal and determines all journal policies (review, publication, ethical principles, etc.).

  • Editors and associate editors are independent in all decisions. They check manuscript originality, ethics committee approvals, and data permissions while ensuring the protection of personal data.

  • Editors protect the intellectual property rights of published articles and take necessary actions in cases of violation.

Reviewers’ Ethical Responsibilities

Reviewers should:

  • Accept to review only manuscripts related to their area of expertise.

  • Evaluate objectively, confidentially, and constructively, avoiding personal criticism of authors.

  • Inform the editor and decline the review if any conflict of interest arises.

  • Notify the editor if they suspect plagiarism or substantial similarity to other works.

Authors’ Ethical Responsibilities

Authors must:

  • Ensure the manuscript submitted is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • Guarantee that it does not violate any copyright.

  • Provide necessary permissions and ethical approvals for data, scales, surveys, and other materials used.

  • Share raw data with the editorial team when requested.

  • Cite all sources appropriately and submit a plagiarism (similarity) report (total similarity not exceeding 20%, with no single source exceeding 3%).

  • Make all revisions requested by reviewers within one year; otherwise, the manuscript will be rejected.

  • Contact the editor to correct or retract their published article if any errors are identified.

Reporting Ethical Misconduct

Any unethical conduct that does not comply with the journal’s publication ethics and policies, whether during evaluation or after publication, should be reported to the editor.
